(e) Alkaline solution of phenol is heated with CO2 under high pressure and then product is acid hydrolysed.

(C) Ethanol is heated wth Fenton’s reagent. 

(d) Toluene is heated with Chromyl Chloride in CS2 and the product is hydrolysed. 

(e) Crotonaldehyde is treates with Li AI H4/ dry ether and the prodcut is acid hydrolysed.
