CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) 2019 Exam will be conducted by the National University of Advanced Legal Studies. It is to be noted that CLAT Exam is a common entrance exam for offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Law. Common Law Admission Test Exam conducted each year and organized by among various national law universities on a rotational basis. 

CLAT Exam qualified for taking admission in LLB

Candidates who clear the CLAT Exam deemed qualified for taking admission in LLB (Bachelors of Laws) and LLM (Masters of Laws). Being a Common Entrance Exam within the country has made it very popular among all the aspirants willing to take admission in Law.

From the year 2015, CLAT Exam is conducted in Online Mode after the decision taken by CLAT Core Committee. CLAT 2019 Exam Dates has already been released. This year it is supposed to take place on 12th May.

Official Notification: CLAT Core Committee has decided that the Application Process for CLAT 2019 Exam will start from 13th January 2019.

CLAT 2019 Application Form, Fee, How to apply

Common Law Admission Test, known as CLAT is conducted each year by  National University of Advanced Legal Studies on the rotational basis. NUALS Kochi will conduct the CLAT 2019 Exam hence complete details and official notification will be released by NLU Odisha, Cuttack.  CLAT 2019 Application Form will be available from January 13th, 2019 in Online mode only. CLAT 2019 Exam  All the eligible candidates want to take admission in undergraduate and postgraduate law course are expected to fill and submit the CLAT 2019 Application form before the closing date.

  • Commencement of CLAT 2019 Application Form will be from the 13th  January 2019.
  • CLAT 2019 Application Form will be available in Online mode only.

CLAT 2019 Eligibility 

(Applicants who apply for LLB Undergraduate Course)

  • Candidates must clear 12th Board and secured at least 45% marks in aggregate in qualifying subjects.

(Applicants who apply for LLB Postgraduate Course)

  • Candidates must have complete LLB with at least 55% Marks.
  • Candidates who are in the final year of the LLB are also eligible.

  • CLAT 2019 Application Form fee can be paid either by Online or Offline mode.
  • Those who want to make Payment via Online can use Debit/Credit Card or NetBanking.
  • Offline payment for CLAT 2019 Application Form can be done by e-Challan.

CLAT 2019 Application Form: How to Apply
  • Go to the official portal and click on the “official link” (at https://clatconsortiumofnlu.ac.in/).
  • Click on the provided New Registration link.
  • Now, Register by filling various details such as Name, Valid email ID, Date of Birth etc.
  • After successful registration, you will receive username and password on your given email ID and Mobile No.
  • Use your User Name and Password provided by the Official authority to login and Apply for CLAT 2019 Exam.
  • Now, fill out the details required in the field to complete the CLAT 2019 Application Form.
  • Candidates also need to upload their scanned images of Photographs and Signature in the prescribed format.
  • After completing the CLAT 2019 Application Form details, candidates shall pay the CLAT 2019 Application Form Fee.
  • Fee can be paid either via Online Using Credit Card/Debit Card and NetBanking or Offline via e-Challan.
  •  Candidates are advised to check the entered details carefully before submitting the application form.
  • Finally, candidates can click on “Save and Submit” button to submit the CLAT 2019 Application Form.

Nationality

  • The applicant who wants to apply for CLAT 2019 Exam must be a citizen of India, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs).
  • Those Candidate sponsored by NRIs can also apply for CLAT 2019 Exam.

For Undergraduate Course

Age Criteria

  • Unreserved/NRIs/NRI Sponsored candidates shall not be more than 20 years of age as on 1st July 2019.
  • Upper age limit is 22 years for OBC/ST/SC candidates as on 1st July 2019.

Academic Qualification

  • Candidate must have passed the 12th Board or equivalent from a recognized Board/Institute.
  • All those appearing on the 12th Board are also eligible for CLAT 2019 Exam.

CLAT 2019 Exam Syllabus (Updated)

CLAT 2019 Question Paper will be prepared from five different sections such as Legal Aptitude, General knowledge and Current Affairs, Numerical Ability, English with comprehension and Reasoning. Those five sections will constitute a total of 200 Marks. Each sections weight of marks will vary as different no of questions will be asked.

General Knowledge/Current Affairs

  • This section will test the candidates’ awareness of national and international happenings and static knowledge.
  • Candidates will have to cover wide syllabus as questions may be asked from different disciplines such as General Science, Economy, Politics etc.
  • Experts advise candidates to follow Lucent GK Book, Manorama Year Book 2018  and read daily Newspapers to prepare better.

English with Comprehension

  • This section prepared to test candidates efficiency in English language and comprehension understanding.
  • Questions will be asked from an understanding of English Comprehension based questions and English Grammar.
  • Candidates are suggested to follow Wren and Martins High School Grammar, Word Power Made Easy, Objective General English By SP Bakshi.

Numerical Ability 

  • This section will ask the question of mathematics to check your Numerical Ability.
  • Questions will be based on 10th Standard.
  • Candidates are suggested to follow CBSE 10th Standard Mathematics Book.

Legal Aptitude

  • Legal Aptitude section prepared to test candidates research ability, problem-solving ability as well as to know candidates interest in legal studies.
  • Questions will be asked based on hypothesis, it is expected from candidates to answer those questions by assuming those hypothesis to be true.
  • Candidates are advised to strengthen their legal aptitude section by practicing questions from Universal’s LLB Entrance Guide and CLAT and LLB Entrance exam by Bhardwaj.

Logical Reasoning 

  • This section is very common for most of the entrance exam.
  • Questions will be asked to test candidates ability to answer logically by identifying patterns, detecting logics etc.
  •  RS Aggarwal for logical reasoning One of the most popular and useful books to prepare this section.

 CLAT 2019 Admit Card

CLAT 2019 Admit Card is the required document for CLAT 2019 Candidates in the examination hall. CLAT 2019 Admit Card will be granted to all those candidates who registered and filled the CLAT 2019 Application Form including fee payment before the closing date. All eligible candidates can download the CLAT 2019 Admit Card from the third week of May 2019 once it will be made available on the official portal. Students are advised to download the CLAT 2019 Admit Card before the closing date. CLAT 2019 Admit Card will be available Online only.

CLAT 2019 Admit Card Details 

  • CLAT 2019 Admit Card will be available online from the third week of May 2018.
  • Candidates can download the CLAT 2019 Admit Card from official portal only.
  • CLAT 2019 Admit Card will contain all the information pertaining to the candidate and CLAT 2019 Exam.
  • It is important to note that only those students who completed the CLAT 2019 Application including fee payments before the closing date will be provided the CLAT 2019 Admit Card.
  • Candidate needs to carry one photo ID proof such as Aadhar Card along with CLAT 2019 Admit Card.
  • Without CLAT 2019 Admit Card, the candidate will not be allowed to enter the Examination Hall.
  • All candidates are advised to take few printouts of CLAT 2019 Admit Card for future use.

  • Go to the official portal or alternatively click on “CLAT 2019 Admit Card” (Link will be provided later).
  • Candidate will see the page, where they have to login by entering your CLAT 2019 Application No. and Password. (Provided by you on given email Id and mobile no.)
  • Now login by clicking on “Login” Button.
  • CLAT 2019 Admit Card will be displayed on the screen.
  • Now before downloading match your vital information such as Name of the Candidate, Application No, etc.
  • Download CLAT 2019 Admit Card.
  • Take few printouts of CLAT 2019 Admit Card for future reference.
  • Students are suggested to not forget to bring the CLAT 2019 Admit Card in the Examination Hall.

Procedure to check the CLAT 2019 Result
  • Go to the official portal of alternatively browse www.clat.ac.in to view CLAT 2019 Result (link will be provided soon).
  • Now, navigate to the link “CLAT 2019 Result” under the header of the latest notification.
  • Candidate will be required to login.
  • Login can be done by entering the CLAT 2019 User Name and Password.
  • Once you enter the correct details click on “Submit Button”.
  • CLAT 2019 Result will be displayed on the computer screen.
  • Candidates are advised to take few printouts for further use.

Selection Yardstick

  • After the CLAT 2019 Result Declaration, Cut-off Marks are prepared.
  • Cut-Off Marks are the minimum marks required to obtain in order to be deemed as qualified.
  • Cut-Off Marks declared based on category, colleges, courses etc.
  • Those candidates qualify the CLAT Exam by scoring more than CLAT 2019 Cut-Off marks will be eligible to take admission.
  • Merit list of the candidates will be prepared to offer admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
