CLAT 2021 Application Form, Fee, How to apply

Common-Law Admission Test, known as CLAT is conducted each year by the National University of Advanced Legal Studies on a rotational basis. CONSORTIUM OF NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITIES will conduct the CLAT 2021 Exam hence complete details and official notification will be released by NLU Odisha, Cuttack.  CLAT 2021 Application Form will be available from January 13th, 2021 in Online mode only. CLAT 2021 Exam  All the eligible candidates want to take admission in undergraduate and postgraduate law course are expected to fill and submit the CLAT 2021 Application form before the closing date. 

CLAT 2021 Application Form Details 

Interested candidates are suggested to register themselves first to obtain username and password before filling up complete CLAT 2021 Application Form. Please read further to know more about CLAT 2021 Application Form such as How to apply, Fee details etc.

CLAT 2021 Application Form details

  • Commencement of CLAT 2021 Application Form will be from the 13th  January 2021.
  • CLAT 2021 Application Form will be available in Online mode only.
  • Interested candidates who want to fill the CLAT 2021 Application form must meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Please read the instructions pertaining to CLAT 2021 Application Form before filling up the CLAT 2021 Application Form.
CLAT 2021 Eligibility 

(Applicants who apply for LLB Undergraduate Course)

  • Candidates must clear 12th Board and secured at least 45% marks in aggregate in qualifying subjects.

(Applicants who apply for LLB Postgraduate Course)

  • Candidates must have complete LLB with at least 55% Marks.
  • Candidates who are in the final year of the LLB are also eligible.

CLAT 2021 Application Form Fee

  • CLAT 2021 Application Form fee can be paid either by Online or Offline mode.
  • Those who want to make Payment via Online can use Debit/Credit Card or NetBanking.
  • Offline payment for CLAT 2021 Application Form can be done by e-Challan.

CLAT 2021 Application Form: How to Apply
  • Go to the official portal and click on the “official link” (at https://clatconsortiumofnlu.ac.in/).
  • Click on the provided New Registration link.
  • Now, Register by filling various details such as Name, Valid email ID, Date of Birth etc.
  • After successful registration, you will receive username and password on your given email ID and Mobile No.
  • Use your User Name and Password provided by the Official authority to login and Apply for CLAT 2021 Exam.
  • Now, fill out the details required in the field to complete the CLAT 2021 Application Form.
  • Candidates also need to upload their scanned images of Photographs and Signature in the prescribed format.
  • After completing the CLAT 2021 Application Form details, candidates shall pay the CLAT 2021 Application Form Fee.
  • Fee can be paid either via Online Using Credit Card/Debit Card and NetBanking or Offline via e-Challan.
  •  Candidates are advised to check the entered details carefully before submitting the application form.
  • Finally, candidates can click on “Save and Submit” button to submit the CLAT 2021 Application Form.

Nationality

  • The applicant who wants to apply for CLAT 2021 Exam must be a citizen of India, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs).
  • Those Candidate sponsored by NRIs can also apply for CLAT 2021 Exam.

For Undergraduate Course

Age Criteria

  • Unreserved/NRIs/NRI Sponsored candidates shall not be more than 20 years of age as on 1st July 2021.
  • Upper age limit is 22 years for OBC/ST/SC candidates as on 1st July 2021.

Academic Qualification

  • Candidate must have passed the 12th Board or equivalent from a recognized Board/Institute.
  • All those appearing on the 12th Board are also eligible for CLAT 2021 Exam.

  • No Upper Age limit for the LLM Course.

Academic Qualification 

  • The candidate must have cleared the LLB (Graduation) from the Recognized University.
  • All those candidates who are in the final year of the LLB Course are also eligible.
CLAT 2021 Exam Syllabus (Updated)

CLAT 2021 Question Paper will be prepared from five different sections such as Legal Aptitude, General knowledge and Current Affairs, Numerical Ability, English with comprehension, and Reasoning. Those five sections will constitute a total of 200 Marks. Each section’s weight of marks will vary as different no of questions will be asked.

General Knowledge/Current Affairs

  • This section will test the candidates’ awareness of national and international happenings and static knowledge.
  • Candidates will have to cover wide syllabus as questions may be asked from different disciplines such as General Science, Economy, Politics etc.
  • Experts advise candidates to follow Lucent GK Book, Manorama Year Book 2021, and read daily Newspapers to prepare better.
English with Comprehension
  • This section prepared to test candidates’ efficiency in the English language and comprehension understanding.
  • Questions will be asked from an understanding of English Comprehension based questions and English Grammar.
  • Candidates are suggested to follow Wren and Martins High School Grammar, Word Power Made Easy, Objective General English By SP Bakshi.

Numerical Ability 

  • This section will ask the question of mathematics to check your Numerical Ability.
  • Questions will be based on 10th Standard.
  • Candidates are suggested to follow CBSE 10th Standard Mathematics Book.

Legal Aptitude

  • Legal Aptitude section prepared to test candidates’ research ability, problem-solving ability as well as to know candidates interest in legal studies.
  • Questions will be asked based on hypothesis, it is expected from candidates to answer those questions by assuming those hypothesis to be true.
  • Candidates are advised to strengthen their legal aptitude section by practicing questions from Universal’s LLB Entrance Guide and CLAT and LLB Entrance exam by Bhardwaj.

Logical Reasoning 

  • This section is very common for most of the entrance exams.
  • Questions will be asked to test candidates’ ability to answer logically by identifying patterns, detecting logic, etc.
  •  RS Aggarwal for logical reasoning One of the most popular and useful books to prepare this section.

CLAT 2021 Exam Pattern: Complete Details

CLAT 2021 Exam Pattern includes all the details of the CLAT 2021 Exam such as Important Topics to prepare, Format of the CLAT 2021 Exam Question Paper, Distribution of the Question Paper form different subjects, Total No. of the Questions, Marking Scheme of the Question Paper etc.

 CLAT 2021 Admit Card

CLAT 2021 Admit Card is the required document for CLAT 2021 Candidates in the examination hall. CLAT 2021 Admit Card will be granted to all those candidates who registered and filled the CLAT 2021 Application Form including fee payment before the closing date. All eligible candidates can download the CLAT 2021 Admit Card from the third week of May 2021 once it will be made available on the official portal. Students are advised to download the CLAT 2021 Admit Card before the closing date. CLAT 2021 Admit Card will be available Online only.  

CLAT 2021 Admit Card Details 

  • CLAT 2021 Admit Card will be available online from the third week of May 2018.
  • Candidates can download the CLAT 2021 Admit Card from the official portal only.
  • CLAT 2021 Admit Card will contain all the information pertaining to the candidate and CLAT 2021 Exam.
  • It is important to note that only those students who completed the CLAT 2021 Application including fee payments before the closing date will be provided the CLAT 2021 Admit Card.
  • The candidate needs to carry one photo ID proof such as Aadhar Card along with CLAT 2021 Admit Card.
  • Without CLAT 2021 Admit Card, the candidate will not be allowed to enter the Examination Hall.
  • All candidates are advised to take few printouts of CLAT 2021 Admit Card for future use.

CLAT 2021 Admit Card/Hall Ticket: How to Download

  • Go to the official portal or alternatively click on “CLAT 2021 Admit Card” (Link will be provided later).
  • Candidate will see the page, where they have to login by entering your CLAT 2021 Application No. and Password. (Provided by you on given email Id and mobile no.)
  • Now login by clicking on “Login” Button.
  • CLAT 2021 Admit Card will be displayed on the screen.
  • Now before downloading match your vital information such as Name of the Candidate, Application No, etc.
  • Download CLAT 2021 Admit Card.
  • Take few printouts of CLAT 2021 Admit Card for future reference.
  • Students are suggested to not forget to bring the CLAT 2021 Admit Card in the Examination Hall.

Please check that the downloaded CLAT 2021 Admit Card must contain information such as

  • Name of the candidate
  • Examination Roll No.
  • Date of Birth
  • Photograph and Signature (Same as uploaded while filling up the CLAT 2021 Application Form).

Procedure to check the CLAT 2021 Result
  • Go to the official portal or alternatively browse www.clat.ac.in to view CLAT 2021 Result (link will be provided soon).
  • Now, navigate to the link “CLAT 2021 Result” under the header of the latest notification.
  • The candidate will be required to log in.
  • Login can be done by entering the CLAT 2021 User Name and Password.
  • Once you enter the correct details click on the “Submit Button”.
  • CLAT 2021 Result will be displayed on the computer screen.
  • Candidates are advised to take few printouts for further use.

Selection Yardstick

  • After the CLAT 2021 Result Declaration, Cut-off Marks are prepared.
  • Cut-Off Marks are the minimum marks required to obtain in order to be deemed as qualified.
  • Cut-Off Marks declared based on category, colleges, courses etc.
  • Those candidates qualify the CLAT Exam by scoring more than CLAT 2021 Cut-Off marks will be eligible to take admission.
  • Merit list of the candidates will be prepared to offer admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
  • CLAT 2021 Counselling Process will commence after the Result Declaration.
  • Complete details regarding the CLAT 2021 Counselling will be published by the Official body.
