For college going students, ABVP is the best organization to join.

What is ABVP?

ABVP is Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, a right-wing organization for the students. It was founded in the year 1948. It is the largest student wing in the country.

Formation of ABVP

ABVP was formed right after the Independence. The purpose of ABVP was to channelize the youth energy of students for serving the Nation. ABVP aims to encourage students to take actions for the reconstructions of the Country for betterment.

Initial growth of ABVP was slow but after Yeshwantrao Kelkar, a lecturer in Bombay, spearheading the promotion of ABVP make it grow rapidly. He is given due credit of the giant and largest organization of the country.

People have the misconception that ABVP is BJP unit. But ABVP is founded independently inspired by RSS (Rashtriya Swaymsevak Sangh. ABVP was founded way before the founding of BJP.

Qualities of ABVP

Nationalism and national integration, social justice, equality, and harmony; gender justice and equality, as well as evolving a comprehensive youth leadership has always remained the hallmarks of the ABVP’s worldview and activity profile.

In Short ABVP’s Objective is to Create Nationalist mindset and Social Sympathy among the Student Mass. There is a role of the students towards the society too, is the philosophy Abvp work with.
ABVP takes part in the student’s body elections in Colleges and Universities to reform the colleges and Universities.

The official ABVP magazine is Rashtriya Chhatrapati, which is published monthly in Hindi in New Delhi.

ABVP is an Indian Nationalist Student Organization.
Headquarter of ABVP is in Mumbai.
ABVP was founded in 1948 while officially registered since July 19, 1949.

How to Join ABVP?

Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad offers members in every academic year.
Any students above Class 8th to Ph.D. can join ABVP.
Teachers can also join the ABVP.
Simply all you need to do is filling up the Form.
Currently, More than 28 Lakhs students and teachers are members of ABVP.

Abvp does participate in 3 different kinds of activities

1) Creative activities; aiming towards the personality development of the students in various way and to have a positive impact upon the society as well as on the Educational fraternity.

2)The representative way; where to stimulate the Students’ leadership towards the nation building, rather let them be used for the interest of political parties and politicians, Abvp takes part in student union election in campuses.

3) Protest; ABVP clearly believes that the way of Protest is a one of a way of building pressure to get your rights. ABVP Protests, where there is any educational issues or any issues affecting the student mass or Education and also when there is an issue affecting the National Interest. 

Praise from the Society and Bharat Ratna

Bharat Ratna, Former Prime Minister Dr. A P J Kalam and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar have praised the efforts of ABVP. Even Supreme praised the efforts of ABVP on the issue of illegal immigrants of Bangladeshi people.

The Ultimate aim of ABVP is to bring the glory days of Indian Education back where India was the supreme hub of Education across the World.
